Welcome to Duchess Bulldogges.
Duchess is an Olde English Bulldogge.... NOT an English Bulldog. The Olde English Bulldogge is a healthier, taller and athletic bulldog, bred to be like the powerful bulldogges of Olde England. Duchess is registered with the International Olde English Bulldogge Association.
Nearly 3 years old, as loving as she is strong. Thirty minutes to an hour of exercise each day ensures a contented bulldogge. She sleeps a lot but also plays like a crazy clown at the dog park doing running-karate rolls or sliding down a sand dune at the beach. She kicks up her heels like a bucking bronco when she reaches the off-leash section of her favorite Dog Parks. We monitor her when she's in the front yard, because she can leap over our 3 1/2 foot high fence to greet one of her best human or dog friends. She also likes an occasional roll to scratch her back in the dirt, luckily her short coat is easy to clean.
Duchess watches over her house and family and loves to sleep on our lap on the couch. We call her "Snugglebunny". She sleeps on our bed at night, keeping us warm and toasty in the winter. Sometimes she insists that not just one, but both of us take her for a walk on the weekend so we can enjoy some quality family time. Other times she will let us know what direction she wants to go on our neighborhood walks by balking and backtracking like a stubborn mule if we choose the wrong direction at an intersection. She has several dog playmates and human friends young and old in the neighborhood that she loves to visit.
We are so fortunate to have her as a part of our family.
She has made our lives so rich, full of love, contentment,
laughter and security.
(Left) 1 yr old, (Sleeping) 1 1/2 yrs old.
Duchess had two strong handsome males in August 09 She was a devoted and proud mom. The puppies were raised in our home, with lots of loving care and attention to prepare them to become loving members of their new, fabulous families.
Duchess plans to have another litter in 2010. We can't wait to experience puppy love again.
